Get to the Youth Day Expo to Explore Tertiary Career Opportunities

Cape Town  – 9 June 2023  – Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) will commemorate twenty years since they opened their doors in June 2003. As part of the range of activities that will be hosted over the next year, the city’s premier meetings, conference and exhibition venue will host a Youth Day Expo on Thursday, 15th June 2023. Young people are invited to engage with and explore the successes of enterprising youth and the range of tertiary and career opportunities available to them.

A wide range of tertiary  institutions,  businesses and various organisations impacting the youth will be present at the one day expo to engage with young people and discuss different career programmes, internships and criteria. It’s an opportunity to meet the teams from the different institutions and businesses, network and get more hands-on information.

Themed  ‘Extraordinary Youth Doing Extraordinary Things’, this expo is aimed at all  youth who are considering or re-evaluating their education and professional options, as well as parents wanting more information. It’s also geared to young graduates looking at enhancing their skills and those in the workplace that are considering a career change.

Claude Pretorius, Chief Commercial Officer of CTICC, said, “’We’ve themed this day ‘Extraordinary Youth Doing Extraordinary Things’ in recognition of the ingenuity and innovation of young South African achievers.  We’ve provided our venue at no cost to all the exhibitors, using our venues as a platform for the sharing of knowledge and ideas.  We have hosted a range of events at the convention centre over the last 20 years that have focussed on the youth. This event serves to reflect on the impact of youth on our business and the integral role that they play in the events’ industry and society at large.

“We look forward to people from across Cape Town and from all walks of life visiting CTICC, engaging with opportunities and also enjoying celebrity guest appearances including Emo Adams and his band, as well as live demonstrations, dance activations, and inspirational talks available through the day to create a wonderful ambience. We also hope to have lots of great prizes and goody bags available for visitors.”

Visit the Youth Expo on Thursday, 15th June at CTICC from 9h00 – 15h00. Entry is free. Register now at https://rb.gy/8jio5
