Certification is about a commitment to globally recognised quality measures that requires measuring ourselves by the highest standards and connecting ourselves with the best international rating systems.

This is why we comply with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) principles. We also operate an Integrated Management System (IMS) in the form of ISO to ensure that quality assurance and sustainability management are regulated at a high level. Health and Safety matters are taken equally seriously.
The CTICC is a member of some of the foremost global meeting’s associations and networks, through which it shares knowledge and experience that ensures its clients and visitors benefit from the latest events and hospitality trends.

As an industry leader, the CTICC was the first convention centre in Africa to have its work processes certified to the following internationally-recognised systems standards:

  • AIPC Quality Standards Excellence in Convention Centre Management
  • SA Tourism Grading Council Five Star Grading and Level 1 UA in facilities for special need persons
  • Green Building Council of South Africa Recognition for environmental leadership in attaining sustainable green buildings

In addition, the CTICC’s kitchen facilities are Halal certified.
